The DOOLEYS Group operates two leading Clubs in Western Sydney and is a successful leisure and entertainment organisation that welcomes all members of the community. We offer a diverse range of well-appointed dining, entertainment and function facilities.

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a Trade Qualified professional to join our Building & Services team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will take the lead on general maintenance tasks across DOOLEYS’ buildings, grounds and associated equipment. Your work will help ensure our facilities are safe, well-presented and enjoyable for our members and guests.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out General maintenance duties throughout all DOOLEYS venues
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks as prioritised as part of ongoing and preventive maintenance schedule
  • Ensuring the grounds, buildings and associated equipment are left in a safe, neat and tidy manner at the completion of work and ensuring a safe and pleasant atmosphere for employees and visitors
  • Supervision of contractors as required
  • Recording completed jobs using a diary log on a daily basis
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards and internal policies and procedures
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Physically fit

Required Qualifications/ Qualities

  • Preferable trade background in Carpentry, Joinery & Painting
  • Holder of a White Card
  • Ability to work with little supervision and to supervise where required
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work and operate as part of a team
  • General knowledge of other trades such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical
  • Excellent knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety issues
  • Be well groomed and presented
  • Be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

To be successful in this role, you will be a trade background and be a holder of a White Card and will be an adaptable all-rounder wanting a fast-paced position within the hospitality industry.  This role allows for an early start and early finish for work to be carried out while the club is closed.  You will be required to work approximately one weekend every 6 weeks. 

 

A requirement for this role is you will need to obtain your RSA/RCG.
