The purpose of the Kitchen Hand is to keep all catering sections clean and hygienic whilst providing assistance to line
Cooks and Chefs in ensuring the operation runs smoothly before, during and after service periods

About the role:

• Completion and compliance with Operations Training Checklists (OTCs)
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for internal and external customers
• Delivery of exceptional customer experiences through the provision of services
   across the Club
• Ensuring careful and accurate handling of all cash, stock and equipment
• Working across multiple Clubs when necessary
• Preparing general food items as directed by Chefs
• Washing and cleaning of dishes, utensils and equipment used in service periods
• Handling and storing food items appropriately
• Disposing of rubbish and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen
• Deep cleaning duties including washing floors, benches, fridges and equipment
• Reporting any damages or breakages to machines involved in daily duties
• Following all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen
• Ensuring reliability and punctuality at all times
• Other duties as directed by Executive Chef, Senior Sou Chef and Sou Chef

 

To be successful in obtaining this role, you must possess:

  • Previous kitchen hand experience
  • An ability to work within a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • A current RSA and RCG or a willingness to complete these prior to starting.

This position may require you to complete regular, reasonable ad hoc duties involving a medium to heavy task intensity, and these duties will form part of the inherent requirements of role.
